Former Bulldog Haley Irwin Retires From International Play

Haley Irwin, a three-time Olympic medalist and national champion with the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team announced that she is retiring from international competition.


The 31-year-old from Thunder Bay helped Canada win gold medals in 2010 and 2014 and then won silver in the Pyeongchang, South Korea Olympics.

She debuted with team Canada in 2009 after helping guide the Bulldogs to their fourth of five NCAA championships.

During her time with UMD she scored 79 goals and 127 assists in 134 games. Her career assists rank third in program history.
