In Division 5, Northwood was crowned back-to-back regional champs with a 54-38 win Saturday.

They may co-op with Solon Springs on the gridiron, but the Evergreens had to get past the Eagles to advance to sectional semifinals that will take place on Thursday.

Northwood will host Turtle Lake - a team they split their regular season meetings against.

"The first time we won pretty big and then we went down there and got our butts kicked," explained Northwood senior guard Collin Krmpotich. "They're really good shooters, so we've been working on getting out to their shooters and really playing physical. We got out-rebounded by them a lot last time so, we're going to be looking to hit the glass hard."

"What's been nice is we've really built a nice foundation for us. It doesn't always show in the wins or losses, but the last five years, we've built a nice foundation and just continue to grow," added boys basketball head coach Jon Wallace.

Tip off Thursday is set for 7 P.M. at Northwood High School.
