Northwestern advances to regional championship, Duluth Marshall & Two Harbors pick up home wins

The Northwestern, Duluth Marshall and Two Harbors boys basketball teams all picked up wins Friday night.

After falling in their two regular season meetings, the third time was the char as Northwestern defeated Cumberland in the Division 3 Sectional one boys basketball regional semifinal game 82-68.

Cole Lahti led the Tigers with 21 points. Northwestern moves on to Saturday’s regional championship game where they'll face Cameron.

Duluth Marshall extended win streak to five by downing Cherry 71-66.

Up the North Shore, Tow Harbors won their third straight defeating South Ridge 71-59.
