Minnesota released running back Tony Brooks-James.

Poling was a seventh-round pick by the Dolphins (227th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.

He spent the 2018 season on Miami's practice squad before spending parts of the 2019 season on the Raiders and Falcons practice squads.

Poling did make his NFL debut in Week 10 of the 2019 season with the Raiders, registering five snaps on special teams against the Chargers.

The 25-year-old Ohio native played colligatively at Ohio University, where he holds school records in career solo tackles (221) and career tackles for loss (44.0).

He was a two-time, First-Team All-MAC selection for the Bobcats (2016 and 2017), and was selected to play in the NFLPA Bowl in January of 2018.

Poling now joins a linebackers room that includes Anthony Barr, Troy Dye, Jordan Fehr, DeMarquis Gates, Ben Gedeon, Eric Kendricks, Blake Lynch, Cameron Smith and Eric Wilson.
