Stout Stifles UWS in Regular Season Finale

The UW-Superior men's hockey team suffered a 1-0 loss to UW-Stout in their regular season finale Saturday at Wessman Arena. The Yellowjackets clinched a home playoff home playoff series after defeating Stout 3-2 Friday night on the road. 


Logan Nelson scored the sole goal for the Blue Devils on Saturday. 

Netminder Nick Althaus made 29 saves for UWS. 

Despite the loss, the Yellowjackets (14-8-3, 7-8-0 WIAC) finish the 2019-20 season as the No. 3 seed in the WIAC playoffs. They will be home February 21-22 for a two-game home playoff series against Northland. The opening faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. both nights.
