It has been over a year and a half since the fire and explosion at the Husky Refinery in Superior, and a new video was released animating the cause of the event.

The U.S. Chemical Safety & Hazard Investigation Board released this video last Thursday on their Youtube page that details how the cause of the explosion occurred, and how that caused the chain reaction that led to the events of April 26, 2018.

The video shows how an eroded slide valve at the plant allowed air to flow into tanks and cause the reaction that led to its proceeding events.

During the refinery explosion and fire, 36 workers were injured and a portion of Superior had to be evacuated.
