A plea hearing turned into a sentencing hearing for a Hibbing woman accused of murder.

Bailey French, 18, pleaded to aiding and abetting murder in the second degree and aiding and abetting kidnapping. Prosecutor Bonnie Norlander said she was sentenced to 453 months in total, which equals over 37 years.

French and two others were charged in connection with the death of Joshua Lavalley. Lavalley's body was found on the Mesabi Trail near the Kerr location back on January 6, 2019. He'd been shot in the face.

The other defendants, Deshon Bonnell and Anthony Howson, have already been sentenced. Bonnell faces a life in prison term. Howson faces 25 years.
