CHUM Food Shelf Seeking Volunteer Drivers

Updated: January 16, 2020 05:42 PM

CHUM is grateful for the support of different companies that support their food shelf. But that food has to get from places like Mount Royal and Bay Produce, over to the shelf.

So they are seeking volunteer drivers to help make monthly or weekly pick-ups. Volunteers can take a shift once a month, once a week, or whatever fits your schedule. There's also a need for on-call drivers to pick up individual donations. Here are the long-term opportunities

1) Monday: Mount Royal to pick up produce 8:30-10am.

2) Wednesday: Bay Produce in Superior to pick up tomatoes 9-11am.

3) Thursday: Second Harvest to pick up milk 12:30-2:30pm.

4) Friday: Bay Produce in Superior to pick up tomatoes 9-11am.

Volunteers must be able to lift 25-50 pounds and have a clean driving record. Preferably, you'd have a truck, SUV, or van.

Call CHUM if you can help: 218-720-6521 or 218-727-2391
