The Virginia Police Department is looking for the person who stole several firearms from a business early Wednesday.

According to a news release, Virginia police officers and members of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a security alarm at the Virginia Surplus Store, 105 3rd Avenue North, just after 4 a.m.  Officers found evidence that someone had forced their way into the building.

Officers searched the building and determined that the suspect had already fled the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 218-748-7511 during normal business hours, or to call 911 after 4:30 p.m.
