Lakeview Behavioral Health's downtown office and the VFW in Grand Rapids are complete losses after a fire that raged throughout the night Saturday. Well's Fargo Bank also received smoke and water damage, Fire Chief Travis Cole said in a news release.

Cole says it was a difficult fire to fight because of the age of the buildings.

"We are very grateful that there were no injuries and for the help we received from surrounding fire departments," Cole said.

The Grand Rapids Fire Department was assisted by a total of nine other departments including Hill City, Cohasset, Aitkin, Trout Lake, Hibbing, Deer River, Greenway and Nashwauk.

The Grand Rapids Fire Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

On Saturday, Lakeview Behavioral Health weighed in on the fire in a Facebook post.

"We have received multiple phone calls and messages and would like to inform everyone we are all safe. Our downtown office in Grand Rapids is a complete loss from a fire... We are so thankful no one was in the building."

On Sunday, Lakeview Behavioral Health made a second Facebook post informing the public that they will be able to see clients starting Monday in their uptown office.

"We would again like to thank all the firefighters and first responders for the many many hours of hard work. Thank you to this amazing community for your support and our wonderful team who worked hard today rearranging our uptown office so we can see clients their starting tomorrow (Monday). It’s going to be a very tight squeeze but we will make due and providing good care is about the people not the space."

Lakeview Behavioral Health asks clients who have appointments at their downtown office to come to their uptown office at 516 South Pokegama Ave.
