LONDON (AP) - Police say provisional postmortem examinations of 39 bodies found inside a shipping container in England concluded the victims from Vietnam died of a combination of insufficient oxygen and overheating in a closed space. Police say the 31 men and eight women who died are believed to have paid people traffickers for their clandestine transit into England.

Police said Tuesday they are continuing to make progress in a complex investigation with hundreds of lines of inquiry. Three men from Northern Ireland and one from England have been arrested.
