CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro is demanding Washington stop piling on punishing sanctions aimed at regime change in Venezuela. Maduro's top diplomat on Thursday filed a complaint against the Trump administration with the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza accused the U.S. of crimes against humanity for causing vast suffering by its policies.

The Trump administration has been trying to drive out Maduro, throwing its support behind Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó. Trump and Guaidó recently met in the White House.
