Dozens of relatives sat Sunday in plastic chairs and on concrete benches outside a hospital, waiting to fill out paperwork to lay claim to their family members  and receive compensation from the government.

Sirirat Kualraksa blinked back tears as the ambulances delivered gurneys bearing cloth-shrouded bodies to the morgue.

Her sister and the sister's family were among the dead.

Authorities say the attack was carried out by a vengeful Thai soldier.

Dozens of others were wounded in the rampage.
