The 2020 SME MN Conference is coming up in one month at the DECC, and organizers are getting excited to see everyone.

Allyz Kramer, a board member of the Minnesota section, said, "The conference really takes on the tasks of bringing not only the technical aspects of mining and mineral processing, but also the educational aspects and the community aspects. That means looking at environmental regulations and community relations."

During the three days, there will be short courses and keynote speakers, along with updates from the mines.

"We've got experts from the copper industry coming. They'll be talking about the innovative principles in their mining. And we've got women coming to talk about great leadership, and how to work smart in our workplaces," Kramer added.

Plus there's plenty of networking opportunities and a vendor expo.

Early bird registration goes through Monday. The conference is April 6-8th.
