The 21st annual Homegrown Music Festival is in full swing. Nearly 200 musical acts perform in about 40 different venues throughout the Twin Ports. WDIO News is covering the event and will have stories and LIVE reports of all the excitement. The Homegrown Music Festival runs through Sunday.
On Soup Town Night of Homegrown, Father Hennepin's show at the Cedar Lounge gave a flashback to the event's roots. The band has played in 20 of 21 Homegrown festivals, and one of its members goes all the way back to the start.
The singer Pink says she had COVID-19 and is donating $500,000 each to two emergency funds. The singer says she tested positive after she and her three-year-old son started displaying symptoms two weeks ago.
Sen. Marco Rubio tweeted that some in the media “can’t contain their glee and delight” that the U.S. had surpassed China in the number of coronavirus cases. ABC's Jonathan Karl says Rubio's tweet was outrageous and hurtful.
