Minnesota officials have stopped a COVID-19 testing study after multiple reports that public health workers were greeted by racial and ethnic slurs as they went door-to-door. In one case, a survey team was boxed in and threatened by a man with a gun.

St. Louis Co. officials: Rise in cases not related to new test site

St. Louis County officials say a significant increase in newly-reported COVID-19 cases is not related to the opening of a new saliva testing site in Duluth. 72 of the 73 new cases reported Friday were found from testing conducted before the new site opened.

Bayfield Co. authorities release name of woman killed in crash

One person was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Bayfield County. The sheriff's office says a reported erratic driver crossed the center line and collided with a pickup pulling a camper.

Cromwell woman dies in crash near Brookston

The State Patrol is reporting that a Cromwell woman died in a crash Thursday night near Brookston. She's been identified as 42-year-old Melissa Maria Kalinoski.
