Duluth Heights Community Center Wins New Outdoor Ice Rink

The Duluth Heights Community Center is going to be getting a new outdoor ice rink, according to a Facebook post from Duluth Heights Hockey.

The Minnesota Wild and U.S. Bank teamed up with EZ Ice to donate two outdoor ice rinks to communities in Minnesota in order to help grow the game of hockey and make it more accessible.

The Duluth Heights Community Center outdoor rink and an outdoor rink in Hermantown were among eight finalists to get the new outdoor rink, with the Duluth Heights Community Center finishing in second place of an online vote with 32,323 votes. 

An outdoor rink in Marshall, Minnesota took first place with 34,168 votes.

The outdoor rink in Hermantown finished fourth with a total of 3,474 votes.
