The coffee chain said Wednesday that it will soon start selling a sandwich featuring a meat-free patty from Beyond Meat. The El Segundo, California-based company's patties are already found at other fast food chains.

Starbucks said its new sandwich, which also has egg and cheddar cheese, will be available at almost all its 1,500 Canadian stores in March.

The company has previously said it is considering a plant-based patty for the U.S., but hasn't announced plans yet.
