Historic Old Central High School in Downtown Duluth won't host school board meetings and district offices for long. The school board has entered into a purchase agreement with developer 'Saturday Properties' who hopes to turn the iconic Duluth building into over 100 apartments.
The Duluth City Council has unanimously voted to declare a climate emergency in the city. This will now allow the city to develop a "Climate Action Work Plan" with the goal of reducing the city's emissions at least 80 percent by 2050.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has scheduled an April 19 virtual meeting to discuss the second year of construction on Highway 61 in the Grand Marais area. Stretches of the highway will be closed or have limited traffic.
